*Entrepreneurship, Science, Technology, Engineering, And Mathematics
Welcome to VEN, Vermont's ESTEAM Network. We recognize the imperative of integrating STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, And Math) into Entrepreneurship to ensure Vermont's and our countries success. We embrace the TEAM aspect of our acronym. Hence, we are the TEAM formed by all Vermont’s Entrepreneurship and STEM Resources, including the visitors to this site.
VEN TEAM Vision
We envision a Vermont where all STEM participants have synergistically converged to participate in an inspired STEM community.
We will realize this vision by accomplishing two goals:
1) exhaustively identifying all the Entrepreneurship and STEM resources in Vermont
(as well as selected regional and national resources) and,
2) actively engaging all of them in mutual awareness, promotion, and reliance.
Reaching the first goal begins with this site:
Search for resources in these major categories:
Academic Programs (primary and secondary)
Academic Programs (post secondary)
Advocacy Groups
Career-Employment Opportunities (including trade schools)
Benefits of this Network:
- Provides easy access to all resources so none is missed by inquiring parties,
- Dramatically increases awareness of extent and variety of ESTEAM resources available in the state,
- Results in increased enthusiasm for ESTEAM,
- Results in increased likelihood people will remain in Vermont for education and employment,
- Provides an efficient way to find needed resources in the state and thus keep our money in Vermont,
- Eliminates reinvention of the wheel,
- Identifies appropriate stakeholders,
- Avoids the need to independently obtain contact information for stakeholders,
- Provides opportunity for similar stakeholders to pool their resources (efficient networking),
- Enables a pooling of stakeholders to produce a POWERFUL lobbying body,
- Identifies genuine gaps in coverage,
- Schedules competitions so that competitors will not have to choose between two applicable competitions,
- Ensures a guidance counselor/teacher/student/parent would have a one-stop resource to find the program that best fits the unique ESTEAM interests of the student,
- Provides a way for new employees in the state to rapidly learn the resources available,
- Provides a way for networking to find support/funding/grants.
